SMP has operated a large Database since the
late 1980s. This Database was specially designed for our own requirements to
source, trace and locate large pieces of equipment such as 14 man Saturation
Diving Systems down to small components like discontinued manufacturers
products similar to Hydraulic control Components or Environmental Control
Components. These components maybe 25 years old and no longer in production.
The Database in 2001 was currently holding over 4,300 singular items of
equipment which relate to the Commercial Diving Industry. The Database also has
over 10,000 customers listed and over 2,000 suppliers; obviously these are not
all active. The updates to the database in the 1990's merged all the
information to form an integral part of our total Company Management System,
which forms an important part of our Certification and Quality System.
Therefore don't consider your old diving
assets as a write-off because of the lack of spares. Contact us today - we maybe 'the light at the end of the
