This is a Drass 16 Man Self Propelled Hyperbaric Life Boat (SPHL); originally designed for 16 divers and 3 crew.  The lifeboat is driven by a SAAB diesel engine and close couple gearbox.  The hull construction of the boat is steel therefore repairs to the hull are easy to undertake as opposed to GRP boats.  This boat is a fully self-contained unit with all the usual SPHL requirements.  The equipment was originally built by Drass in 1983 and was installed on the DSV Wilchief.

• The mating clamp and small TUP chamber are included

There is a SPHL handling system available for this boat however it was not part of the original equipment provided by Drass.  The handling system would require modification to suit the final designated mobilisation site.  The condition of equipment is that it is need of full refurbishment however the steel construction makes this somewhat easier.
