The Jupiter was designed as launch pad lighting at NASA's Kennedy Space Centre at Cape Cavaveral, Florida. This anti-vibration light is especially built to shed wind and the tremendous engine blast of the NASA shuttle launches; consequently, it is shaped particularly well to withstand water pressure and grenade percussion.

The Jupiter is employed for security purposes at navel vessels, piers and dockyards, nuclear plant water intake inspection and for illuminating the underwater legs of oil platforms against saboteurs and terrorists.
