Diver Held Pingpointer Model 6365. The model 6365 pingpointer has 5 fixed frequencies, selected from the switch on the end plate.

With the pingpointer two hydrophones, separated by 305mm (12in) detect the pinger pulse. The pingpointer's circuitry measures the difference in the arrival times of the pulse and the lamp on the side closer to the pinger flashes each time the pinger's pulse is received. Swinging the unit in the direction of the light will allow the diver to point at the pinger and home in on its location.
